Eadweard Muybridge was an 1800's photographer who pioneered the studies of motion in animals. At the behest of Leland Stanford (founder of Stanford University) he used new techniques to prove that all four horse hoofs left the ground at some point when running. This series intriguingly explores the motion of cats, elk and horses.
A giclée is printed with archival pigment inks on fine-art paper, so the colour holds for decades indoors.
The studio frames the print behind glass, in the moulding named under Frame.
