These colourful little fabric designs, called “Sarasa”, were both painted and dyed cotton patterns from a small 1894 Japanese book. They include animal, bird, and floral motifs. Each is framed with a double thick matt and a fine gold gild profile.
A giclée is printed with archival pigment inks on fine-art paper, so the colour holds for decades indoors.
