Deer Trio is a wildlife photograph available in two sizes with a choice of grey or white moulding. Set within a snowy woodland, the image captures three deer gathered among bare branches and frost-covered vegetation. A palette of soft creams, warm taupes, and gentle greys creates a light, natural atmosphere, allowing the fine textures of the animals’ coats and the winter landscape to stand out. The composition uses the three deer to create a balanced arrangement, with one positioned prominently in the foreground while the others add depth and visual connection behind it. Delicate branches weave throughout the scene, naturally framing the subjects and guiding the viewer’s eye across the image. The sharp detail of the deer contrasts with the softly blurred background, a technique commonly used in wildlife photography to create separation and depth. Drawing from the tradition of nature photography, the image focuses on observation and timing, capturing a moment of interaction within a natural habitat. The combination of soft winter light, layered composition, and detailed textures highlights both the beauty of the animals and the seasonal landscape that surrounds them.
A giclée is printed with archival pigment inks on fine-art paper, so the colour holds for decades indoors.
The studio frames the print behind glass, in the moulding named under Frame.
