About this piece
A powerful glimpse of equine speed and competitive spirit in neutral toned photographs. Fast shutter speeds are crucial for capturing fast-moving subjects and freezing the action without blurring. Here the technique is freezing the explosive motions of barrel racing horses. Their athletic grace is emphasized, and exciting moments of action are captured, like flying dirt and powerful strides.
