About this piece
Famous for the “Owl and the Pussycat” and other nonsense verse in the 19th century, Lear was also an ornithologist and watercolour artist. These unusual and colourful bird & parrot sketches come directly from his sketchbook. Writing and colour notations add an unusual element.

This replaced an old mirror in our entry and the matting gives it a gallery look. I smile every time I walk past it.

Exactly as pictured
We moved into a new place and this was the first thing we hung and it looks far more expensive than it was. Exactly what the room needed.

Perfect size
We used it to fill a long empty wall in the condo and it arrived boxed with corner guards, not a scratch on it. Could not be happier.
