Outbuildings is a series of two abstract artworks available as Framed Canvas or Gallery Wrap Canvas in Large and Small sizes. Using a restrained palette of warm whites, soft beiges, and weathered neutrals, the series reduces rural buildings to their most essential forms through layered texture and delicate linear mark-making. The impression of thick, textured surfaces create depth across the background, while the sparse forms emerge gradually from the painted layers. The generous use of negative space allows the simple geometric shapes to become the focus, creating a balanced relationship between structure and openness. the compositions suggest rooftops, walls, and architectural outlines with only a few carefully placed lines. This approach reflects elements of Minimalism and contemporary abstract landscape painting, where familiar subjects are distilled into basic shapes and gestures. The series explores how a few lines and layered surfaces can capture the essence of a place through suggestion rather than description.
