A relief piece: the surface is built up or carved in wood, plaster or a similar material, so it casts its own shadows.
It hangs without glass, and the light in the room changes how it reads through the day.

Our new favourite
It anchors the reading corner in our den and the texture of the print shows up nicely when the light hits it. My partner was skeptical and now loves it.

Bought it for our bedroom and the texture of the print shows up nicely when the light hits it. The box was a bit dented on arrival, the piece itself was perfect.

Second order, still impressed
Put it in the stairwell landing and the size is exactly what the wall tool showed me. Wish there were more frame colours, but the natural wood is nice.
