Created by in house artist Jessie Nev, Waters Edge set of 2 explores the meeting of land and water through expressive brushwork, layered paint, and softened coastal forms. Broad passages of colour, visible gestures, and textured surfaces suggest shorelines, coves, trees, and open water, creating compositions that balance atmosphere with a strong sense of place. Influenced by Impressionism and contemporary landscape painting, the series emphasizes memory, light, and the emotional character of the landscape rather than detailed description. Through painterly mark-making, layered textures, and simplified forms, Waters Edge captures the changing rhythms of the coastline and the quiet relationship between water, land, and sky.
